Gabriel Georgio González, “Gabriel de la Tomasa” native of Seville, born in the Macarena neighborhood.

It is in his home where he hears his first songs, thanks to his grandparents, his uncles and especially his father; in his roots are traces of the purest essence of the singing of his most distant relatives, such as Manuel and Pepe Torres, great pillars of Flamenco Singing.

 Gabriel draws his closest sources of knowledge from his grandparents, Tomasa Solo Díaz “La Tomasa” and Manuel Georgio Gutiérrez “Manuel Pies Plomo”, and from his father and teacher “José el de la Tomasa”, undoubtedly one of the most significant figures in contemporary Flamenco singing.

Gabriel de la Tomasa has worked with artists of the stature of Miguel “El Funi”, Esperanza Fernández, Carmen Ledesma, Tony el Pelao, Pilar Ogalla, Andrés Peña, José Maya, Joaquín Cortés, Antonio Canales, Rafaela Carrasco, Farruquito or Juana Amaya

Her singing has been heard in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Japan, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Mexico,  etc…

At the Flamenco Biennial held in Seville in 2008, Gabriel de la Tomasa performed alongside his father in the show "De la Misma Sangre," receiving very good reviews from flamenco critics. This show was  also performed at the Mont de Marsan International Flamenco Festival  in 2009 (France) and received great reviews.

Gabriel de la Tomasa  resides in Madrid, where he has been part of several companies of Joaquín Cortés, Rafael Amargo, Dorantes, Ángel Rojas or La Lupi and is preparing to launch his first album and start a series of performances organized by the Provincial Council of Seville and perform as a soloist at the flamenco festival in Miami.

Today she belongs to the Andalusian flamenco ballet under the direction of Rafaela Carrasco and performs at the Casa Patas flamenco tablao in Madrid, the Antwerp flamenco festival or Mont de Marsan.

He combines these jobs with his work at Uflamenco, where he teaches flamenco singing and history classes.
